i am 21 and should be having the time of my life.
but no, here I am working hard for my future.

I've been mad busy, which explains my late post.

Yea, ben has been asking why no pictures and all.....
ever since i changed my camera phone away,
I have stopped taking photos because i've been just so plain lazy!

i bet you guys didnt even know i went to bkk!

Day 1!

with insufficient sleep, Gf and I dragged our Lazy feet to Teminal 1 at 5am in the morning!
Hell yea, I only had 1 hour of sleep and stayed up all night playing computer games.
So the next morning, I WAS STONED AS HELL!

And when we reached, we checked in at TANGO hotel!
really cozy with awesome friendly staffs....
No pictures though.

And then, we started shopping immediately!

Okay, No pictures because we were too busy sweeping up platinum mall.
Which in my opinion, is the cheapest there because its freaking wholesale!

I didnt buy much because I wanted to save the money for chaktuchat and the night market.
So I only bought 3 items there!
Shocking right?
ME THE SHOPAHOLIC ONLY BOUGHT 3 ITEMS!

anyway, time for day 2,

We had been pushing this back for a very long time due to work and all.
Also because there were days I had just been to tired and lazy to wake up early...

and the metal grills are see through.
You can actually see through when you bent down and you'll see that the ground is actually so far away from you.

surprisingly... there are some residence staying there.
I think its pretty scary to live there...
especially at night!
It will be so dark!
cause there are very little lamp posts there.....

It reminds me when I was younger, my aunt loved to rake up the past to scold me which i totally hated because it was the past and I thought it was already settled and I was already being scolded and punished for but yet I was being scolded all over again.

And i totally hated it.

Sometimes if I had no emotions, it would be better.
I would be a more successful person. But I always have to let my emotions destroy me and overtake me.

I think this is a very important thing so my new year resolution for next year is:
1. Control My temper.
2. Not letting my emotions overtake me.
3. Juggle school and work well.
4. Minimize my spending.

Yes, that's because of the awesome drinking game hui zhen suggested and that left us all very stoned the next day due to too much alcohol content.

As I'm too lazy to describe the party in detail.
I am going to just say one more word to describe the party further.

New Year's Day is coming.
So have you guys thought about the memorable things that have happened this year?
I have tons but I guess you can tell due to the very limited updates I have due to my busy schedules at work.

So here's my 4 most memorable things for this year.

1. The very first picture I took with casper during valentines day.

No, this wasnt the day we first knew each other.
Or the day we got together.
This was just another ordinary day when I decided to meet Casper and her friends because I was so bored of staying home alone during Vday.
Sad to say I was late and I shared a cab with a stranger on this very day to meet her much to casper's shock. "crazy" was what she used to describe me when she found out.
Also, i was a miserly date because i didn't bring any gifts because i didn't consider the outing to be a date. LOL.

till this very day, she says that I'm rude for not getting her anything.
Sorry gf deaerst, i wont share a cab with a stranger and will get you something good next year. HAHA.

2. The Movie, slumdog millionaire.

No, nothing funny happened during this movie.
This was the movie i wanted to watch during Vday but Casper insisted that i was weird to want to watch an Indian movie, which she later discovered that she was wrong. ( her friend told her it was some bolly wood ah neh movie. )
HAHA.

the rest is kinda lengthy and personal so I'm quite lazy to write it down here.

3. Kingsmen.

I didnt really enjoyed the jobscope there but i truly learned from the people there.
This is one of the places i really learned, experienced and benefited from work and I am thankful I had an opportunity to work with them although i chose to leave the place.

4.Timbre.
Once again, i just feel thankful that they chose to call me back to fill up Maxine's place.
Not that the pay is awesome, just that its one of the environment that i dont have to pretend to be someone else, and also, i'm so glad that politics are really kept to the minimal, there are almost none at all there. which is rare to find.

okay, there are definately more as i feel that this has truly been a good year for me.
But if I had to write more, I wouldnt have to sleep already.
HAHA.

Something interesting happened today.

So weird because, for one, he doesnt seem to be in the same secondary school as I was.
2ndly, he's 4 years older then me, even if he was, i would be in sec 1 and he sec 5.
He must be a pervert then.

(Anyway, my sec school was still double session when I was in Sec 1.
The lower secondary attended the afternoon session and the upper Sec the morning session. It would be highly impossible that he would bump into me. And i really looked geeky back then.)

Or maybe he was too dumb he retained so many years of school.

3rdly, if he really was in the same school.... only 2 mutual friends?
And both of them arent in the same secondary school.

HE must be so desperate that he used it as a pick up line then.

Okay, i've been busy by work of course.
So busy that GF dearest told Rennette the other day that I've gotten married to Timbre.
I denied it of course. But my weekends have definately been occupied by events and Bar courses at the CC.
yes, Timbre is conducting Bar courses.
Lucky for me, its the last lesson next week!
YAY!!!!!
If you guys are interested, our last lesson will b at Serangoon CC and I will be there to help you during the hands on part. heehee.

To side track, this is really really late but I had fun doing rainbow cupcakes!

Its vanilla flavoured with chocolate chips.
Taste really awesome to me and its even prettier when you bite it cause you'll see all colours inside.

And then, the other day I was busy at work at was still at office at 9pm due to an event,
Baby video cammed with me and I watchd TV through msn.

pretty awesome yea? HAHA.
That was pretty good shit man.
Until the connection sucked and I had to get back to work.

Last and not least, i want to tell you guys that I participated in my very first Flea Market!
It was of course held at Timbre, (See, stil
l at work place again. what did i tell you?)

anyway, by the time i went back to the flea market, it was dark.

how was your weekend?

Mine was alright i guess, As you know Timbre Mobile opened officially last week and I went back as a server to help them as there were a shortage of staff.
As pio said, he's the most expensive paid waiter and me, the 2nd most.

Time gives all experience and I will learn whatever I can for now.

To Sidetrack, i bought GF dearest a Wii set, her birthday present which I decided to give early, and we had fun playing with it after i came back from work, needless to say, we slept little and played till out arms hurt.

The other day i lost my hp at clarke quay.

Langer's birthday was a blast.
i'm sorry i stayed for such a short while though,

anywhere is great when you have your close friends with you.

i just realised something... how come its langer's birthday but i dont have photos taken with him?!?!

talking to Hz just now made me realise how fortunate we are, to have each other. even though we may be broke and poor, but at least we spent plenty of awesome time together and created many memories.

and to my dear Gf, i may not be the perfect GF. i may have a bad temper, am selfish and am spendthrift, but always know that i treasure the times with you and am thankful that you are by my side.

i went to watch Singdollar with GF on sat!

it was so freaking awesome i laughed nonstop. and the funniest is of course kumar.

he starred as a Bangladeshi worker in singapore. its quite funny seeing him act as a straight guy... "GLORIA I LURVE YOU! I WANT TO BRING YOU HOME TO BANGLADESH SO WE CAN BE BE TOGETHER!"

its been a long time since i last blogged and as Rennette said,

I told rennette all i have to update is that i'm growing fat despite the fact that i'm eating lesser then last year.
I hate having to work in an office environment.
On the brighter side, i finally got confirmed at Kingsmen after dinosaur months.

My phone spoilt recently, although i went to fix it but i just have a feeling it will spoil again.
I have no fate with phones and they always get murdered under my hands.

You know, as the years fly by, it seems that time is flying faster.(i say that all the time, i cant help it! )
And this year, ain't any different at all.
It was as if, just yesterday i got into Kingsmen, got excited for a day and then got bored and complained how i hated my job since i felt that i couldn't blend in with my colleagues and that the job scope was too boring.

and then, i slowly realised they were actually pretty awesome people and it was just that perhaps i wasnt willing to open up my teeny weeny enclosed world.
and then, it didnt really matter if my job scope was boring.
When you gossiped and joked around, time flew faster and then before i knew it, my birthday was coming.

HALF A YEAR AT KINGSMEN!

And what i got from them was a surprise lunch buffet at Sakura and a Lanvin perfume from sasa.they even got me a mirror which actually pretty resembled my taste.
You know, for people i wasnt even close with, i am pretty touched they actually bothered to celebrate my birthday with me.

Anyway, moving on,
you know how i complained i didnt want to turn 21 since it was the year of responsibilities and i didnt want to be reminded? And how i said i didnt want to celebrate it since it would be just another boring year?

well... i ended up celebrating it after all!
Since i was so tired after Taxfree, i felt that i deserved a break and since i didnt have much time, all i could afford was a short getaway which would be at Batam.

Initially, i wanted Bali or Bangkok...
but anyway... it would be too far to invite my friends anyway.
So, we (Dear GF and I) finally settled for Batam.
We decided to stay at Harris Resort.
and, the people who came along were,
Zann, Ben, Langer.
Rennette,Ken, Chew Yen, Iris.
And, of course, casper and I.

For those i didnt invite,
I'm so sorry!
i only had limited money to book limited rooms!
i'm so broke now! :(

Too bad the bar seems to be not functioning at the moment.

All i can say is that i will not go back to Batam every since its the most boring, expensive and inconvenient place i've ever went.

HEY HO!
I'm back after a very long time of not blogging.
its funny how i used to blog almost every single day, to only 3-4 times a month now.
WOW.

anyway, i met up with HZ earlier just now and we had fun cam whoring with her fake geeky specs.

speaking of specs, its time i changed my specs since i had mine since secondary 5??
and that would be 4 years ago?
its funny how time flies so fast.
seems as if yesterday i had just graduated from my diploma from MDIS.

Earlier on, Hz was saying how the students she had to teach today were behaving.
its funny how we thought how we were rebellious and uncontrollable. but we're wrong!
the younger generation is even worse!

but who is to blame when the generation now have things their way easier?
its no wonder students nowadays are behaving like spoilt brats.
If i have a son in the future, i will not name him Dean. thats for sure.
HAHA.

Moving on,
the exhibition i've been busy with, taxfree!
i only managed to take a picture of 1 booth since i was busy.

Imagine, 1 tie from them is $300!
Its madness!
After buying my old Gucci bag,
i have learnt my lesson.
Branded goods aren't everything and i get sick of things so easily so why spent so much on just 1 item?

Anyway, although Tax free was tiring it made me a happy girl.
With a free Estee Lauder make up palette, giant Mentos and Chupa chups, chocolates from Godiva, who wouldn't be happy?

Next up,
i finally went to do my new passport last sat!
it wasn't because my passport was expired,
it was because i had to change my photo!
and since all passports are biometric now, you cant simply change a photo but make a new one instead.

and so, i am going to collect it on Friday! Yay!

since we (GF and I) had plenty of time, i decided i didnt want to go home since it was a hassel.
We spent the whole entire day at Plaza Sing!
Gosh its a record because i find that place such a bore.
The reason why we hang there because it was near Fort Canning and we had a play to catch later on.

Anyway, we finally got bored of Plaza Sing by the late afternoon and therefore went to Mr beans to chill out instead.

The play we watched later that evening was:

We all know that William Shakespeare is famous for Romeo & Juliet.
This is one of another famous play he wrote for Queen Elizabeth.

The play, being at fort canning was a picnic themed concept.
So we brought some food down... only to discover we need not bring down so much since food and drinks were provided since i bought the VIP seating tickets!

i ended up being a glutton because i still finished the food in the end.

And the only good thing about the VIP tickets is that proper seats and tentage are provided, along with the food and drinks from indocine, (wine too). but the thing is, its so far!
The pros and cons in life. =.=

Next time i am going to buy the normal tickets and bring picnic chairs along instead. =.=

woke up. prepared for work. the colleague, caines was late. i slept for another half an hour. received an text to say he was reaching my place. went down to wait for him. reached the expo. time check 9.30am. stoned. watch some movies. stoned some more and watched some more movies. lunch time. another colleague, shawn came. shawn bought nasi lemak for us. chatted. stoned. watched some more movies. and stoned some more. some one suggested going to the movies. time check 5pm. we book the tickets. no of pax watching: 6. stoned. wait for 8. time check, 8. left to downtown. dinner: pasta mania. movie: fastand furious 4. after the movie, to the koptitiam. stoned. chatted. stoned some more. got asked to go home since i was tired. shawn offered me a ride home. time check: 1am. reached home. dead tired. time check for bed: 2am.

today.

i am tired.
i am lethargic.
i got bitten by so many mozzies i can die scratching my skin.
as you can tell. this is a very bad boring post.

i haven't been updating for a very long time.
the reason of course is the most very simple one.
i have been busy of course.
unfortunately, my phone died on me thus, i have no pictures of recent events and this post will obviously be a very boring lengthy update of what I've been up to.

as you guys have seen, in the last post,
it wasn't a very happy one.
but all is well... things didn't end up as badly as i thought.
in fact, it was pretty much a pleasant surprise sometimes, i still think i'm dreaming.

perhaps it all happened too fast.
just like a whirlwind.
like seriously, how did i ever fall into this so fast?

as you all i know,
I'm probably one of the most indecisive person when it comes to relationships.
never mind that i was confused, but when i was confused, others got confused as well.
the worst part was, i'm not only confused but this very extremely difficult person as well.
maybe 10 people walked pass me and some of you would drool over him/she.
and my reaction would most probably be, "huh? where?" or " okay larh. your taste."
but when i told people i seriously just wanted someone normal and average, no one ever believed me. all of them thought i was this crazy person with high expectations.

why?
because,
my defination would be " not hot but i want someone somewhat cute, dress properly and decent"
an so,
i would judge their dressing.
i would also judge if they made effort to groom.
the way they talk.
the way they humor me.
and also.. i was pretty much particular about body contact.

if someone i didnt like/like sat close to me,
i would instantly know if i liked him/she or not.
i dont know, i just have very weird senses.

so the thing was, i really mind alot.
if i felt that he/she didn't meet up to my standards,
i wouldn't even feel or want to bring them to meet my friends.
i wouldn't even bother mentioning the person in my blog or anywhere else.
and the picture would definitely not appear.

it is true i very much like my private life,
so of course there are times i never ever want to say too much about what i was really doing.

okay, so as i have already said, this is a very boring and lengthy post.

and i'm sure you guys are waiting,

this person is a she.

yes, i know i've been saying since forever that i didnt want a r/s.
i wanted to spend time excelling my career first and would probably not get attached for the next 5 years because i have too much in my mind to care about.

but such things cannot be planned.
because, for the very first time,
i didnt mind or cared what clothings she was wearing.
i seriously made no attempt to give suggestions as to what to wear.
i is very surprised with myself.
didnt care if i was moving too fast.
didnt care to stop and think that i would probably be hurting myself if things went wrong.
and of course, i'm talking about this now which is something rare.
dont ask me why because i really dont know why all this.

but all i know is,
i have her and its all that matters.

so we visited the extended families today.
as usual... i was told that i gained weight...
was asked about my studies/work.

so during one of the visitations to my aunt's eldest brother's house,
one of my uncles announced that he had written a book.
he brought down the book and then announced that there was a part of my aunt and then began telling us old stories about the kampong... and the pigs my aunt loved so much.

so how's your CNY coming?
despite all the complains... today has been okay.
my throat hurts from eating too much chinese new year goodies.
and i'm also expecting to gain weight from all that food i shoved down my throat.

Eve of CNY

so... every eve of chinese new year will always be spent at my brother's house.
and every year, we will have steam boat.
as usual... i'll find myself playing with the kids...(walau so old already still play with kids. lol.)

and also stoning in front of the television.

of course, i'll still get myself involved with the chattering of gossips and whats this and that happening....

see... my brother is very engrossed with the conversation.

and my aunt... as usual rather not join family discussions....

so i woke up in the afternoon to find that my nephew and nieces had arrived.
they were making such a din... who wouldn't know? haha.

lunch was as per normal.
the chattering of more updates and eating like a pig....
i don't know how much food i shoved down my throat.
but the large amount of rosebud tea i gulped down could not save me.

and then i found my bottle of bubble liquid and told the kids to play at the balcony.
i had to find other distractions to keep myself from eating you see.
HAHA.

Rachael was being cheeky, she decided to block her brother knowing that he wanted to take a picture. LOL.

and Ashly her sister busied herself with badminton.

everyone love new clothes and the only thing i like about CNY are about the new clothes.

but shopping with my mum is hardly ever fun.

1. I just cut my lip because i was being clumsy again and had banged my laptop against the mouth by accident.

2. I know this sounds weird. But i sort of have a five year plan, by the end of the 5th year, i should be earning at least $2.5k a month, still stay around 45kg, look great and should have plenty of savings in my bank account.

3. Weirdly enough, r/s are not in the 5 year plan. i am starting to think if i will end up being an old maid. but of course, some things cannot be predicted.

4. I'm a really curious person. I even went for fortune telling because I think too much sometimes and it was to ease my curiosity. But i think its a scam because 1 of them told me i would have many scandalous relationships(love triangles) and i will not marry a Singaporean. And the other one told me that I'm a somewhat loyal person and am not likely involved in scandals. so while they predicted i would get rich and migrate in the future, i highly doubt so.

5. If i were to migrate, it would be to Australia.

6. My childhood ambition was to be an actress. of course now that I'm grown, i realize it is almost impossible.

7. This is to contradict the above fact, whenever i see myself in a video, i get goosebumps.

8. Sometimes i sing and dance in the shower. (its the only place no one will see my retarded moments.)

9. I am so vain, whenever i pass by a mirror, i will look at the mirror to observe myself.

10. When I'm upset, i am very mean. i don't mean to be mean but I'll get irritated easily, have a bad temper and just snap and make a mean comment. Or else, I'll just stone and be in a daze.

11. I feel guilty easily so, sometimes the smallest detail will set me thinking for an entire day.

12.I rarely lie because i have a bad memory. So i would not even remember what i said before to back up that particular lie therefore, I'd rather be honest.

13. Due to having a bad memory, I'm very bad with names.

14. I sometimes have very high expectations of things. So much i find myself irritating.

15. I have to go to church tml. i think i will not be able to wake up. and this happens every week. Me not waking up on time to go to church.

16. Sometimes, i do things which can even surprise/embarrass/disgrace myself.

its pretty amazing...
they stick a candle in your ear and all the wax travels into the candle?
i didnt take any pictures...
so i took it from the net.

its really rare to have family gatherings.

the food wasnt that bad...
except i wish there were more variety.

there are more like cakes, soup, curry, ice cream, steak... or whatever.
but there were so much food we got excited and forgot to take more pictures.
as you can see...
we ate.....

and ate some more....

and an hour later we were still eating.

but of course you guys already know that we're gluttons.

and then... after eating....
we had our spastic moments.

Trip to JB for supper!

food glorious food!
there were more food... just that i was too busy eating by then.
and then there was also the "lok lok".

assorted food sold in a van!
its so freaking amazing that this can be done.
perhaps i'm too suaku because this isnt a common sight in singapore.
i guess the only sort of food sold in vans here in singapore are ice creams.
speaking of which, i'm craving for an ice-cream now....

and the food gets cooked at the end of the van.
one for frying, the other one for boiling.

and the must do in malaysia for kiasu Singaporeans like us.

to pump petrol!
HAHA.

the thing about their petrol stations....
our provision stores at the petrol stations are opened 24/7 and the counter would be in the provision store.

and so, the set up for the Asia television forum was finally done yesterday.

its quite interesting really, because there were booths from, just for laughs, MTV, Mediacorp, etc etc... a lot of overseas productions as well.

the thing is, they usually hold this event at hotels, but decided to do it at Suntec this year because its cheaper?

so basically these exhibitors will meet buyers and blah blah blah you get the drift.

and since there are china or taiwan productions over as well,

hence this sign on a particular exhibitor's booth.

i know how to speak mandarin.

remember there used to be a cartoon screened in the theaters a few years back called Wallace and Gromit?

in the cartoon the were after a gigantic rabbit that were stealing the crops of their state.

i remember the cartoon very clearly despite it being nearly 3 years ago.

because that was the only movie i watched alone.

it sounds so pathetic!

no, i'm not a loner, and no i'm not weird.

( okay maybe sometimes)

but the reason why i did so was because i had to wait for an appointment for 3 hours and there was nothing to to at Jurong east.

JURONG EAST IS BORING PLEASE BUILT SOMETHING INTERESTING!

back to Wallace and Gromit,

i thought it was a production from pixals? or disney or whatsoever.

i finally have my own high divider, ( i hate low dividers! ) and my name on it.
i am so suaku because i never had my name on my cubical wall before since i was always temp staff. and not to mention, at ocbc, we had the whole office to just me and joy we didnt even need names.

first few days at work was pretty much boring.
and thats because everyone is too busy running thier own events.
so as my colleague sitting next to me likes to say,
" okay, you can go back and continue stoning."

i wish i could stone at home.
and of course on sun and on mon, which is hari raya haji.
but noooo, i have an event, which is the asian television forum, to attend to.
not too bad because i get to learn what to do.
but for my first week of work?
i cant tell if i'm excited or just feeling bummed.

i tried to find wai leng's picture.
but the thing was, all the pictures were in my old laptop and i never got to save them before my laptop died on me.

so right now, i'm blaming myself for not printing or at least have any backup for pictures because they were probably the last pictures in memory of her.
i wasnt particularly close to her.
she was a colleague of mine.
a really nice and friendly one too.
i remember i had to rush home once and she offered me a ride home on the bike dispite her needing to go back to timbre after that again.
she was such a joker we would spend time in the office changing and joking or gossiping about things that were probably stupid at times.

the thing is, she's just my age and now she has passed away, a bike accident.
apparently, she flew out of the bike and her helmet flew off too.
its not the first time she got into an accident,
she ran into a pretty major one before causing a fracture and broken teeth,
so what still spurred her confidence that it wouldnt happen again?

i really dont know.
what i know is that i went to her funeral just now at potong pasir.
she had a massive amount of friends, all riding bikes.
put that aside, what i was thinking was....
when you die, whats the use of having so many friends over seeing your dead body?
it made me feel sad that this was only probably the time everone thought this person as an angel when she was dead.

so why not treasure your friends?
before anything silly happens?
so my friends, when sometimes i'm sacarstic to you, i really didnt mean it.
forgive me if i had been mean and have been too straight forward and have hurt your feelings.
the truth is, i care for each and everyone of you and i wouldnt bare to know if you're hurt and anything bad happens.

oh happy day.
i am so happy that my period cramps doesnt even bother me.
i recieved my results today and learnt that i passed my exams.
its better then last term's and i'm done with my advanced dip... like finally.
presentation was great and everything is over and i think it must be the lucky red auora.

this must be like one of the happiest day of my life.
its even better then falling in love.

if i was this happy everyday i swear even the happiest couple on earth would look unhappy beside me.

i'm a happy girl today!
i bought my epilator!
haha.

but it was painful and i kept screaming ow ow ow while epilating.
this sounds so silly.
why do girls torture ourselves to look better? HAHA.

and i'm happy i gained back a friend i thought i lost.
and it felt like the good old times where i didnt feel awkward or when i didnt know what to say.
sitting at the coffeeshop... its like nothing changed at all.
